How Safe Do You Feel Walking and Biking Around D.C.?

This past Friday, WUSA9's Bruce Leshan posted a story about the growing problem of bicyclist and pedestrian injuries in Washington, D.C..

"In the last year, 14 pedestrians and two bicyclists have been killed in encounters with cars and trucks," Leshan wrote. "The reported injuries are far higher: 435 bicyclists and 755 pedestrians in 2010. Some of the victims complain the police have done far too little to stop the carnage."

With these statistics in mind, we we went to Dupont Circle, one of D.C.'s most populated biking and pedestrian neighborhoods to ask locals how safe they felt walking and biking in Downtown D.C.. Check out the video above to see what they said.
